Sending a Mail/Care Package

All mail will be opened and screened by jail staff prior to delivery to an inmate. Do not attempt to send anything sexual or violent in nature, as these items will be confiscated by the Manitowoc County Jail staff, and the inmate could lose his mail privileges.

It is an easy process to send money to an inmate’s commissary account. Send money via money order, or bank/ certified check. You can send money like you would send mail, and address it to the above address to the attention of the inmate.

Phone calls

While inmates cannot receive phone calls, you can help an inmate make an outgoing phone call by adding money to their commissary account. Inmates at the Manitowoc County Jail can purchase prepare phone cards at the commissary, which they can use to call you. Remember that any outgoing phone call will probably be monitored and/or recorded by jail staff.

Visitation

Visits can last up to 20 minutes long, but could cut short of the Manitowoc County Jail staff have other duties or there are a large number of visitors that day and time. Make sure to plan to dress conservatively and do not try to bring anything to the jail that would be considered prohibited.
