The easiest way to visit is via a non-contact video visitation. These visits occur at the Caledonia County Jail Visitation Center located at 1126 Main Street, Suite 2, St. Johnsbury, VT, 05819. You can visit daily between 7:45a.m. to 7:30 p.m, but only if you have an appointment.

Before you visit, you need to call 802-748-6666 between 8am-7pm to schedule a visit. Call one day before you are planning on visiting an inmate. You can schedule a visit at a computer in the lobby, if you do not have access at home to a computer.

Sending a Mail/Care Package

To send mail to an inmate, address it to:

Include your name and a return address on the envelope or the letter might be discarded without delivery to the inmate. Mail will be open and screened by jail staff prior to delivery. You can call the Caledonia County Jail to inquire about if you can send books or packages. Some books are acceptable if they are sent directly from the publisher and not from a third party.

Phone calls

Inmates cannot receive calls, but they can call you. You will need to accept charges and take responsibility for payment. It should be free for less than a minute, while the inmate tells you he is calling, then you will need to add funds to his account. You can add funds while on the phone by paying with a credit card.

Visitation

You need to schedule a visit at least one day in advance of the visit so they can approve you. You can schedule your visit in a kiosk in the lobby of the jail, and you can do this 24 hours a day.
