How to Find an Inmate Incarcerated In Utah

The Utah Department of Correction is responsible for all the prisons and jails in the region. Like all other state prison facilities, this Utah DOC also provides various avenues for inmate search procedures.

Online searches have become the most convenient method, and Utah has already leveraged this resource. Here are the steps for accessing an inmate incarcerated in Utah:

  1. Visit the Utah Department of Corrections website (https://corrections.utah.gov/) and use the offender search feature. Enter the inmate's full name and click "Search." Doing this will return a list of inmates with the same name.
  2. If you know the inmate's date of birth, you can enter it in the search fields provided.
  3. If you have the inmate's inmate number, you can enter it in the search fields provided.
  4. If you know the name of the facility where the inmate faces incarceration, you can enter it in the search fields provided.
  5. You can also use the advanced search option and narrow your search by gender, race, age, and other criteria.
  6. Once you have found the inmate you are looking for, click on the "view details" link to view the inmate's profile. The results will include information such as the inmate's name, date of birth, inmate number, facility, and sentence.

You can also contact the jail directly or make an in-person visit.

Utah Inmate Roster

The Utah Department of Corrections has an inmate roster that's publicly available. The information contains details on current and recently released inmates. The website provides a searchable database that can be used to look up inmate information by name, inmate number, or county of incarceration.

The Utah Inmate Roster is a list of inmates currently detained in state and county correctional facilities in Utah. The roster is updated daily and includes information such as the inmate's name, booking date, charges, and bond amount.

The roster also consists of the inmate's mugshot, charges, court date, and other relevant information. The inmate roster can be searched by name or by booking date. You can also sort through the inmate roster by county or facility.

Utah Prison System

The Utah Department of Corrections (UDC) administrates the state's corrections system. The UDOC is accountable for the supervision of adult offenders and the management of correctional facilities. UDC's mission involves the following:

UDC is committed to providing a safe and humane correctional environment that protects the public and allows offenders to rehabilitate and become productive citizens.

UDC is currently responsible for managing and supervising approximately 6,500 offenders in Utah's correctional facilities. Its role also involves the management of up to 20,000 offenders in the community.

UDC also provides a wide range of services to offenders, including educational, medical, mental health, substance abuse, and reentry services.

The UDOC runs under the Executive Director, who the Governor appoints. The Executive Director oversees the department's programs, operations, and budget. The UDOC features three units: Corrections, Community Corrections, and Administration.
