About FCI Memphis

Located in Tennessee, FCI Memphis is considered a medium security facility, and there is room for 1331 inmates at a time. Some of these inmates are at the adjacent satellite camp that is considered to be a minimum security location. The FCI Memphis only houses adult male inmates. Sending Money

Commissary accounts are very important inmates’ well-being, and they cannot get money in their accounts without your help. With money in their accounts, they can make phone calls and buy necessities.

By far, the best way to send money is by Moneygram or by Western Union, as funds are processed quickly. You can do this on the Moneygram website or on the Western Union website.

You can send a money order, but no personal checks or cash. Money orders will be slower to deliver since they need to go through the federal prison processing system in Iowa.

Phone calls

Once you get added to the list of people an inmate can call, they can call you as long as they have money in their commissary account. Inmates at the FCI Memphis will not be able to receive incoming phone calls.
