All mail will be opened and screened by jail staff prior to delivery to an inmate. Do not attempt to send anything sexual or violent in nature, as these items will be confiscated by the Carter County Jail staff, and the inmate could lose his mail privileges.
Sending Money
It is an easy process to send money to an inmate’s commissary account. Send money via money order, or bank/ certified check. You can send money like you would send mail, and address it to the above address to the attention of the inmate.
Phone calls
While inmates cannot receive phone calls, you can help an inmate make an outgoing phone call by adding money to their commissary account. Inmates at the Carter County Jail can purchase prepare phone cards at the commissary, which they can use to call you. Remember that any outgoing phone call will probably be monitored and/or recorded by jail staff.
Visitation
