About El Reno Federal Prison

Located in Oklahoma, about 125 miles east of El Reno, El Reno Federal Prison is medium security facility, but also houses some minimum security inmates at a satellite camp. In total, up to 1172 male inmates reside here at any time. Typically, inmates are at this facility who are on short-sentences and are considered to be “phasing down.” The satellite camp is actually considered to be one of the better places to be in prison, and offers a renowned wellness program to inmates.
