Gallatin County Jail is a 90 bed jail that can operate with up to 90 beds occupied at any time. If a person is arrested on a misdemeanor, he might be discharged without spending time in jail. Anyone arrested with a felony charge cannot be bonded out.

Inmates cannot receive phone calls, but they are permitted to make telephone calls from their housing areas. The Gallatin County Jail staff cannot receive messages for inmates, so the only way to communicate is to set up an account for an inmate to call you. You can set this up online through Securus. The Gallatin County Jail offers video visitation for family and friends of inmates. This will help you visit without having to commute to the Gallatin County Jail. You can set up an on-site visit as well. This will occur in a building that has video monitors. You can visit Monday through Friday from 12:00 pm – 3:30 pm, but you do need to schedule a visit at least 1 day in advance, but not more than 14 days in advance.
