About FMC Lexington

FMC Lexington is a medium security facility that also has an adjacent camp that is considered minimum security. The FMC Lexington is located in Kentucky, just 43 miles east of Lexington, can house up to 1447 total inmates between the medium security facility and the satellite camp. Adult women reside at this facility. In 2000, this facility was turned into one that could house women, as that region of the country was running out of room to store female inmates.
