When a person is arrested, they are initially transferred to the Central Jail, which is located at the Pratt County Jail at 303 South Oak Street, Pratt, KS, 67124. Any inmate that does not leave on bond, will meet before a judge within 24 hours after arrest. It is possible for a misdemeanor, that an arrestee might be released without spending time in jail. If it is a felony, the judge will set bail.

Keep in mind that inmates are only allowed to receive postcards. Do not send letters or anything besides a postcard.

Postcards must be at least 3.5 inches by 4.25 inches, but not any bigger than 4.25 inches by 6 inches.

Money Orders should be filled out to "Pratt County Jail Inmate Account" on the "Pay To" line. If not, it will be returned to sender. Do not include any personal notes or letters addressed to inmates with a money order. Notes and letters will not be delivered to the inmate.

Phone calls

Inmates at the Pratt County Jail cannot receive phone calls. Once they are booked and arranged in their housing, they will be able to make outgoing calls collect, as long as the receiver of the phone call accepts the phone charges.

Visitation

The easiest way to visit is via a non-contact video visitation. These visits occur at the Pratt County Jail Visitation Center located at 303 South Oak Street, Pratt, KS, 67124. You can visit daily between 7:45a.m. to 7:30 p.m, but only if you have an appointment.

Before you visit, you need to call 620-672-4133 between 8am-7pm to schedule a visit. Call one day before you are planning on visiting an inmate. You can schedule a visit at a computer in the lobby, if you do not have access at home to a computer.
