As such, some services like sending mail may be more limited at this facility than at other jails or prisons.

Sending a Mail/Care Package
Since inmates are usually not located at this facility for longer than a couple of days, sending mail is not recommended. By the time the mail reaches the Iola Jail for processing, screening and delivery to an inmate, he or she has likely already been moved out of the Iola Jail.
That said, you can still send mail to an inmate, just recognize that it might not make it to them before their transfer. If you send mail, send it to:
Inmate's First and Last Name - booking #
2 West Jackson Avenue
PO Box 391, Iola, KS, 66749
Mail will be opened and screened before delivery, and do not send any contraband.
Sending Money
Sending money is also challenging given the short time that inmates stay at this facility. Call the Iola Jail at 620-365-4960 to ask about sending money to an inmate. Do not risk sending cash or providing money to an inmate that might not reach the inmate prior to the transfer out of the jail.
