Sending Money

You can send money to inmates in Illinois either through the mail and electronically online.

To send through the mail, use a United States Postal Money order that is made payable to the inmate's name and ID number. You need to include a form with the money order that you can find by clicking here.

Phone calls

While inmates at the Western Illinois Correctional Center cannot receive calls, they can call you either collect or with a pre-paid account. Your phone number will need to be preapprove by the facility before an inmate can call you.

If you prefer the inmate use a prepaid card instead of calling you collect, you can put money on an inmate’s prepaid account on the Illinois Department of Corrections website by clicking here. T

Visitation

Plan to visit on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30am-3:30pm. The specific time will depend on each inmate and their classification within the Western Illinois Correctional Center. Make sure you contact the inmate and the jail ahead of time to find out when you can visit your specific inmate. Plan to dress conservatively, and do not bring anything with you to the jail, or you will be turned away without visiting.
