This medium security institution in Georgia houses both male and female inmates. There are two separate living units at Al Burruss Correctional Training Center that house over 808 inmates. In addition to the larger medium security facility, there is also a100 bed minimum security unit and a 90 bed special management unit. Sending Money

Phone calls

Inmates at the Al Burruss Correctional Training Center cannot receive phone calls, so they are depended upon having money in their account to be able to make outgoing phone calls. Phone calls will be monitored and possibly recorded by jail staff.

Visitation

Visitation for the general population of inmates is on Saturdays, Sundays, and state designated holidays. There are two sessions, a morning session from 8:30am-11:30am and an afternoon session from 12:30pm-3:15pm. There are also non-contact visits on Saturdays and Sundays in three sessions, from 8:30am-10:30am, 12:30pm-2:30pm, and 1pm-3pm.

Plan on dressing conservatively and do not bring anything with you into the Al Burruss Correctional Training Center, not even a cell phone. Do not bring contraband or you will be denied visitation rights.
