About FCI Marianna

Located in Florida, FCI Marianna is a low security facility with an adjacent satellite camp that is considered to be minimum security. Between the two camps, up to 35 inmates can reside at the FCI Marianna at any point in time. Until 2014, both male and female inmates reside at this institution. Due to overcrowding, the female inmates were transferred to another federal institution. First opened in 1940, there were originally several political prisoners housed at the FCI Marianna during World War 2.

Western Union is another preferable option to send money as long as you have the inmate's eight digit register number and the inmate's last name (example: 12345678DOE). You can deposit money by calling 1-800-634-3422 or going to the Western Union website.

While you can send a money order, it will take a little longer than sending money electronically. It is best not to delay in sending money to an inmate, as inmates rely on money to purchase goods in the FCI Marianna commissary store and to make phone calls.

Phone calls

The best way to make sure an inmate can make phone calls to you or another loved one is by ensuring he has money in his commissary account. With that money, an inmate at the FCI Marianna will be able to call anyone is approved on his list. If he has no funds, he will not be able to make any phone calls.

Visitation

After you have used the inmate search to locate an inmate at the FCI Marianna, then you can begin working the process to visit.

You will need to fill out a visitation form, send it in the mail, and get approved as a visitor. You will be subject to a background check. Once you pass, the inmate will be notified that you are approved, and it is responsibility to communicate that with you.
