Sending a Mail/Care Package

Most inmates are only housed here temporarily, so you should not send mail to anyone only at the Fairfield Jail for a day or two.

For inmates who are housed here for a longer time period, you can send mail. If you want to send mail, send it to:

Inmate's name and booking number
Fairfield Jail
100 Reef Road, Fairfield, CT, 06824

You can also set up to have books or newspapers shipped directly from a publisher to the inmate, but you should not send them yourself, as they will be discarded before being delivered to an inmate.

Sending Money

The best way to send money to someone housed here is to pay bail. You can pay bail by going to the Fairfield Jail any time day or night. The jail is at this address:

100 Reef Road, Fairfield, CT, 06824
203-254-4800

You would need to pay bail either in cash or through a bail bond. You can learn about bail bonds by clicking here.

Phone calls

Inmates at Fairfield Jail can make up to three free telephone calls. When their free phone calls are expired, they can set up an account. Short-term inmates will not need to use NCIC, but long-term inmates might want to set up an account with them.

Visitation

Inmates can have one visit of up to 15 minutes a day. All visitations are conducted via a video conferencing system at the headquarters of the Fairfield Jail. Go to the jail directly to set up a video visit with an inmate. Dress conservatively and do not bring contraband with you to the Fairfield Jail.
