About USP Florence – High
USP Florence – High is a medium security facility that also has an adjacent camp that is considered minimum security. The USP Florence – High is located in Colorado, just 43 miles east of Florence, can house up to 776 total inmates between the medium security facility and the satellite camp. Adult women reside at this facility. In 2000, this facility was turned into one that could house women, as that region of the country was running out of room to store female inmates.
