When a person is arrested, they are initially transferred to the Central Jail, which is located at the Montezuma County Jail at 730 East Driscoll Street, Cortez, CO, 81321. Any inmate that does not leave on bond, will meet before a judge within 24 hours after arrest. It is possible for a misdemeanor, that an arrestee might be released without spending time in jail.
