The Heber Springs Jail offers a unique problem instead of serving time in the Cleburne County Jail. The “Pay-to-Stay” Program is available for qualified men and women who have been sentenced to serve time in jail, but want to serve it outside of Cleburne County Jail.
Given the over population at Cleburne County Jail, if an inmate is approved for this program it is generally preferred that the inmate stay at Heber Springs Jail. Inmates will also have the option of spreading out their jail time, and serving a day or two at a time, while then returning home for family or work duties, before serving another day on their sentence.
With prior approval, men and women can stay at the Heber Springs Jail in separate sleeping areas than other inmates.
Men and women will not be sleeping in the same living areas.
Call the general police phone number to inquire about an inmate at Heber Springs Jail at 501-362-3661. Because of the high-turnover rate of inmates, there is no online searching capability for inmates. All inquiries should be directed to that phone number, and be prepared to provide the full legal name and date of birth of the inmate.
