Visitation

It is important to know that some people can wait up to 6 months to get approved for visitation. It is recommended that you apply for approval as soon as you know you will want to visit an inmate.

You will visit on a Saturday or Sunday between 8am and 12:40pm. Plan to arrive early, since the gates open at 7:45am and a line will form. You will sign in upon arrival.

Do not show up without first having filled out visitor’s application and getting approved. Call 907-745-0943 for more assistance and to inquire about how to get approved as a visitor.

When you do visit, make sure you do not bring anything with you into the Mat-Su Pretrial, and do not dress in a provocative manner. Dress conservatively and abide by prison rules in order to ensure a smooth visit with an inmate.
